OUR REVIEW
Driving up to the restaurant we were
amazed by its charm and appeal. It is
just what we would have expected from
the small town of Flagstaff, Az. Parking
was a little tight but not a problem.
We were greeted with a smile and someone
to take our coats, while we waited for them
to prepare our table. It was not that a
table was not ready but, they cleared
the extra chairs a setting to accommodate
dinner for two. Very classy! The staff was
professionally trained and very attentive to
our needs. Wow what great service. The dinner
was a three course meal, and every course came out to perfection. Portions were more than enough and the wine suggested went perfect with our dinner. We would suggest dining in Flagstaff at The Cottage Place Restaurant when you are really looking for a quiet, cozy environment and a fine dining experience. Chef Frank even came to our table.

Hiros Shimp and vegetable tempura
One of our favorites. Always light
and never greasy. We always order
two of these appetizers.
Hiros Edamame
I know that it is a simple dish but
with all the hype about staying in
shape and eating healthy, this is
a great starter and always cooked
to perfection.
OUR REVIEW
Well it is located in a shopping plaza, but wait
until you eat here. The food is too fantastic. Always fresh! We have been eating here for
about 3 years now. The service is always great. We have been out on the busiest of nights and
service is still great. The pricing is also as
good as the food. If you are looking for a great
Japanese lunch or dinner Hiro's is the place.
We have eaten at there competitions restaurant
and the truth being the food at Hiro's is just
much better. It seems like every time we go
to dinner here, we walk out saying how great
the food was and I can not believe the service.

We order our food as we eat. Meaning the food always comes out fresh and its always hard to
decide what we want to eat. With in a a few
minutes of placing an order you can expect
your food. The green tea is great on a cold winter night. This is one of our favorite Flagstaff
restaurants to eat at. Quick, Clean and always
a great Flagstaff dining experience.

FINDING A GOOD FLAGSTAFF RESTAURANT
Grand Canyon Railway
Planning on traveling to the Grand Canyon while visiting in Flagstaff or Williams.
Take a trip on the Grand Canyon Railway and sit back and relax. The trip is really
a kick and can be a whole day of fun and enjoyment. The have coke in the bottle
and a side show for of all ages. It is like a blast from the past. I found the best is you do not have to do the driving to see the Grand Canyon

The Grancg Canyon Tours and vacation Destinations

  • Travel north on Humphreys Street to Columbus Avenue, turn left. Columbus Avenue becomes Highway 180. Take Highway 180 west to Highway 64. Head north on Highway 64 directly to the East Entrance of the South Rim - known as Desert View.  49.6 miles (79.8 km) - 55 minutes

THE GRAND CANYON

There are three ways you can get to the Grand Canyon from Flagstaff) - Source: U.S. Department of the Interior Grand Canyon National Park Arizona

  • Take I-40 west to Highway 64 (Exit 165, just east of Williams).  Head north on Highway 64 directly to the South Rim.  79 miles (96 km) - 1 hour 32 minutes.
  • Follow Route 66 northeast to Highway 89 (note: Route 66 will turn into Highway 89).  Take Highway 89 north for approximately 65 miles, turn left (west) onto Highway 64. Take Highway 64 directly to the East Entrance on the South Rim - known as Desert View.  50 miles (80 km) - 55 minutes

The Grand Canyon is one of the most sought after spots to visit while in Flagstaff, Arizona. Well there are just a few more
locations off the main road that just might wow you too. Pack up a day lunch and take a visit to Grand Falls just about a
40 mile drive from Flagstaff. After visiting Grand Falls you get t the sense that you are not quite in the desert anymore.
This is the perfect day trip for the family. Old or young everyone can enjoy this special place outside of Flagstaff. The hike
from the parking area is not bad, I would not suggest it for children under the age of 7 or the more wise over 65 years of age.
The ground can tend to be very slippery, but can be viewed just as well from above.
